Hi guys,

A quick question..I've seen some really nice custom lockscreens using HTML (I think) and some springboard themes too with clock widgets and such, eg. SlantedLock and used them, however I've noticed that there always seems to be a delay in updating the time (approx 0.5 - 1 second), as often it's 1-15 minutes behind the true time, even if it's not been turned on for hours.

Personally this really bugs me, I was wondering does everyone else experience this update lag/delay for the time? Is there anyway to stop this? Obviously this doesn't happen with the default LockScreen Clock, so I was wondering what causes this? I've had a search around but can't find anything..

Thanks :)

bump?

I realise this thread is almost 2 years old, but i'm still having the same problem with one of my html lockscreens :/

It only refreshes when i unlock my iPhone.
Sorry for the bump, just looking for a way to solve ! :D

Depends on how the lockscreen is coded. With some older themes (and on the iPhone 4), this happened all the time. With the newest ones and the iPhone 5, I've to see it happen. I loved Slanted Lock, but it was actually one of the worst for that particular issue. The only one I found that had even more noticeable lag was Breeze. That one was so annoying, I eventually stripped the styles from it & reused them with code that worked better from another widget.
