Not sure if this has been discussed before but I just remembered vaguely that the Watch event in September talked about a custom photo watch face, and I found these photos:

Seems like it has been removed, or am I mistaken?
 
While I do remember Apple mentioning a custom photo watch face, those images are (Badly) Photoshopped.

EDIT:Just dug up this September  Watch coverage article from Engadget which showcases every  Watch clock face including the apparently cut in development custom photo watch faces.
