Custom Ringtones in iPadOS 26?

iOS 26 allows the setting of custom ringtones using the Files app, as described at https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/ios-set-custom-iphone-ringtone/. However, it appears the iPadOS 26 does not have this feature. Is it there and I am just missing something?

It turns out that this was in iOS 26.0 from day one. I just missed it and it is buried under the "..." button after tapping the share button.

Glad you found it—those buried settings are classic Apple! I've missed a few like that myself. Now that it's there, any cool custom tones you're trying out?

Just got my old ringtones that I put in through iTunes and now am using "Files". I basically favor Star Wars and Star Trek sounds.

Haha, Star Wars and Star Trek ringtones? That's epic, nothing beats a lightsaber hum for incoming calls. The Files method is a game-changer after iTunes, right? Which one's your absolute fave for daily use?
