Custom Ringtones on the Watch?

I’m not a fan of the standard ring that rings on my Watch whenever I get a phone call. Is there any way to change this and while we’re at it, any way to change the text message tone as well?

Drag up control center and disable the bell icon. If vibration is not strong enough, you can increase it in settings.

I keep the haptic feedback on the watch set to prominent. It does a pretty good job of alerting you, especially when you need to be more discrete.

Does Silent Mode on the Watch ever turn itself back off on its own like how Wifi turns itself back on the iPhone when turned off from Control Center?

No. My series 3 which I use for sleep tracking stays on silent all the time.
