Anyone able get custom ringtones without having to use iToner or iTunes ringtone maker?

Garageband . . . . works (very well) for me!
if you have quicktime pro, open an mp3 in it clip it to whatever part of the song you want and then export it with the extension ".m4r" and then open it in itunes. there you go, free ringtone.
