Is it possible to add custom sounds for the lock screen, text messages, and so on without jailbreaking your phone? I'll be honest I'm not the most computer savvy person and am a bit frustrated that I could add whatever I wanted on my blackberry and it seems like you can't on this phone. My computer is a mac if that makes any difference.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Currently no. Go to the Apple support pages and put in a request on those forums. The more that request it, the more likely it will get added.

Nope. Gotta Jailbreak. I have all custom sounds on my 3GS. Lock/unlock, keypad, text message, charging sound, etc.

I miss it on my iP4!

As if that has ever happened.

😀

The text message tones are ridiculous in that there is only one decent one... the tritone....

Everytime someone gets a text in our place we all reach for our phones....

It doesn't help that it's the same tone most standard windows PC's make when a CD is finished burning! 🙄

As others have said, jailbreaking is the only way. Damn I miss using my Zelda "secret" tone from A Link to the Past.
