Custom spec Retina iMAC

Hi,

If I order a custom spec apple retina iMAC, where is it built? Are they pulled apart and spec'd up here in australia or do they come from the factory (pre-built) to spec.

They're specced at the factory itself.

If you order from Europe, most custom ordered iMacs are assembled in Ireland. For Australia, I guess they would come directly from the factory in China.

I live in Melbourne and my BTO retina iMac was assembled in the States.

Well, you can replace "most" with "some." Mine was assembled in and shipped from Ireland.

Probably makes no difference, but mine shipped from California. Pretty stoked to have it assembled in my own state.
