macOS custom Volume icon for disk

i want to burn cd/dvd which will display custom icon when mounted

i read the following hint

and added .VolumeIcon.icns in the root folder
when i burn the project using Databurn / EnhancedDataBurn sample projects in /Developer/Examples/DiskRecording/Objective C

my Cd/DVD dont show custom icon ????

Wat can be the reason ?

Is there any other way to show custom icon for burned CD/ DVD ??
