Being an animator i would love my character on the watch face , maybe even slightly animated. I know there will be an option of "wallpaper" but will there be options of creating somekind of animated. Face display? :)

I was actually thinking of starting a thread called "Custom Live Photos".

This one should be changed to avoid confusion with the various threads about custom still photo wallpapers, and e lack of custom analogue watch faces.

It's interesting, I was expecting to see actual Live Photos on that website, but they must be animated gifs as they play on my iPad 3.

But I'm curious to see how these were made. I wonder if they were animations that were simply photographed using an iPhone 6S off a Retina display?

Someone has to eventually be able to make an app to create Live Photos, unless Apple is intentionally preventing that for some reason.

EDIT: It appears from this tutorial that these are just standard jpg and mov files that get dragged into Photos, and converted into a Live Photo automatically. Just naming a jpg and mov file the same thing and dragging them into Photos together produces that result?

I wish it was that easy :(

I've been trying by making my own jpg+mov files for a few hours and Photos.app on my MacBook Pro (El Capitan) doesn't make them Live. It just adds then as a photo and seperate video. Yet the jpg+mov files downloaded from that website add as Live just fine. I don't get what the difference is or how they made them.
