gah! i called customer service and they flat out said i would have to pay 200 just to fix the dust underneath my screen and my crap speaker volume much less my non vibrating phone. i will admit the rep. was very kind and felt bad he was telling a jobless 16 yr. old he couldn't fix his phone but this pisses me off soo bad

What a truly enlightening thread. Thanks for telling us you're 16, though, since otherwise I would have just had to guess based on the thread's title.

You know I think it's nice that apple offers that repair option. I try to take very good care of my phone but it's nice to know that if I do something to damage it I can have it fixed/replaced for only about half the cost of a new one. Most other companies would just say buy a new one.

i called apple care, and he basically said since i dropped it they would blame all other issues on accidental damage.

and how you can even rent out a loaner ... who else does that???

i will agree overall their CS is great but i wished they would at least address my low call volume and the dust under my screen.

Were you having those issues before you dropped it? How did dust get in there I carry mine in my pocket occasionally but only get dust in the speaker holes. If your phone was dropped with enough force to dent it it certainly could be assumed that the other issues are a result of the drop.

i had ALL other issues before the drop, and the drop was from 2 feet o CARPET.lol. btw i carry it in my pocket

I am sorry that you have had a bad experience, but I just have to ask, why does a jobless 16 year old even have an iPhone?

well
iPhone>Razr and iPod Nano
and i hated my Wii and Zune so i Ebay'ed them and picked up an iPhone
