Customize 2.0, icon wallpaper stuck at black, help!

Locked screen wallpaper works but icon screen wallpaper does not. These are my settings...

SMB Preferences:
-theme is set to customize
-theme wallpaper is set to on

everything else is working, locked screen wallpaper, icons etc, just not the wallpaper that appears behind the icons.

if i go to "customize images/sounds" -> "wallpaper" -> "wallpaper" -> then choose theme -> i can see the preview, i press apply and it says "copy result - file set successfully applied." but its still black

can anyone help, and yes, i know i can restore and start over but i'd rather not.
