Is it possible to make the scrollbar more visible in Snow Leopard by creating a new system graphic file to replace the default file?

It is well documented that you can replace files like "indicator_large.png" in order to change the Dock appearance. Can something similar be done to make the vertical scroll bar more distinct? I can barely tell where it is.

Thanks,

I'm not sure about doing exactly what you are asking for. However if you select System Preferences->Appearance. The Appearance combo box at the top of the panel has choices of Blue and Graphite. I find Blue easier to see the scroll bars.
