Cut Apple Music iPhone Storage Usage in Minutes – Here's How

I don't seem to be able to get this to work. Am I missing something. I assumed that, for example, if I tried to download video to the iPhone from my GoPro it would start offloading music to make space for it. It doesn't seem to do anything 🙁
