After looking how I used my iPhone and iPad, realized that AT&T were getting extra $ from me... to that end - I joined the the tethering fold..

I hope that the "leaches" out there that want to abuse "unlimited" will just pay what for what they use on the network

I just dropped to 2GB. I was PISSED they went away from unlimited until I realized how little data I actually use.

Yeah thats how I felt too. I had unlimited then dropped to 2GB cause I was only using like 1GB a month. Well they did away with unlimited and I was kinda pissed I couldnt go back if I needed.

Well I got my unlimited back because for $5 more a month it was worth it even though I wasnt using that much data. Well now Im using 3-5GB a month after a year of never breaking 2GB.

Im so glad I still have my unlimited, you never know when you may start using more data. You dont want to hit a point where you eventually have to turn off celluar data because you dont want to go over you 2GB.

I've been using iphone data as I always do, and I added tethering, and have been using it whenever needed and I'll easily be under 4gb. I am on WIFI a good percentage of every day. It's a great plan for me.

You're not "screwing the man" by doing this; you're just giving carriers more incentive to drop unlimited plans. Myself and others who are grandfathered into unlimited data really applaud you for your edginess and rebellion. And by "applaud" I mean "hate."

:)

How much data do you use a month? Just curious. I have ZERO problem with people being pissed about the unlimited "bait and switch". I totally understand. I too was pissed until I realized how little I actually use.

How did you manage to get it back?

In the end i am saving $15 a month by tethering my iPad to my iPhone. And no where near those that seem to be taking advantage of of the unlimited plans for either...

So you have 4GB, which is 2GB data + 2GB tethering. Thats $25 + $20 a month.

I assume you had unlimited before, so that was $30 a month. How exactly is this 'cutting' your AT&T services?

Ah, you had unlimited data on your iPad too? Alright. Now I get the math. Be more clear next time.

It was pretty clear in his first post.

Don't use close to 1GB but I am grandfathered & KEEPING my unlimited data. You never know and I am not willing to risk it for $5/mon
