Cutout on left of screen?

I have just noticed that on my 16 Pro there is a slender cutout of the screen on the left, exactly where the volume down button.

Anyone else?

Is this maybe a setting that can be turned off?

That's only supposed to be there when you're pushing that button. I doubt your button is stuck, but maybe manipulate it a bit and try to make it go away. If unsuccessful, try a reboot.
