My wife is manager at Best Buy. Three items in three months shouldn't even alert anyone, unless those three items are identical high value (thousands of dollars) items. Another scenario would be using the store as a "rental service"; you buy a game controller, return it, buy another controller, return it, etc. in other words, you keep buying and returning the same/similar items back to back in order to avoid being stuck with the bill indefinitely.


Not trying to argue or judge based on your returns, but I can say that returning three basic items shouldn't be causing you these issues and I felt that needed to be said so as not to mislead anyone stumbling across this thread.

Had purchased a TV back 'round Thanksgiving and had to return 2 of them for defects- cracked bezel and a power button that didn't work. Returned a video game I purchased for my nephew that was unopened and a cell phone case that wasn't needed. It was upon returning the cell phone case that I received the 90 warning.

If they were identical TVs your name may have been flagged as a Black Friday reseller for some reason, though they deal with obvious resellers who bring back way more than what you're reporting without issues. Don't know what to tel you. Best of luck.

Years ago I bought a subsidized iphone at Bestbuy on AT&T. I returned it within the window and had my contract rolled back or whatever and got my $199 back. A few months later I tried to subsidize a different phone at bestbuy through AT&T and they told me sorry, you returned one and are blacklisted for now. No clue if they were messing with me or what but they wouldn't sell me one just for returning one phone.
