Cutting SIM for iPhone4

I am with Koodo and plan to change my iPhone 3Gs for an iPhone4. However Koodo does not support the iPhone 4, meaning they do not have the micro SIM.
Should I just get a regular SIM and cut it. I know this was done a lot in the early days. Still a viable alternative?

Wow, these things sell for over $30 in Canada. Just found some online in China for $3. Maybe I should start selling them! 🙂

You can cut it yourself but that tool guarantees it will be cut right and not ruined.
