.cwk extension Claris Works Files How to Open

Hello,

Is there any convertor program for .cwk, Claris Works files? I would love to preserve my old fonts.

Have you tired opening them with Numbers or pages?

LibreOffice can open .cwk files. If I recall correctly, fonts weren't embedded in the documents. I opened a few of my .cwk files and some fonts DO appear. I don't know if it is a simple font substitution or the font data was stored in the file.

App opens up but not file, in both cases. Text edit will open but with a bunch of gobbledegook at the beginning.

OP:

You don't need to "reach out" to Libreoffice.
Just download and try it.

Libre can open AppleWorks WP and SS files directly.
Not sure about older ClarisWorks formats, but they -might be- the same.

Again, just download the app and give it a try.

The version on the App Store for about $9?

Open it on Mac OS 9 and export it to pdf, online on something like https://infinitemac.org/ or in some others emulator.
