Cyberpunk Quick and Dirty- A work in progress
It only took me about 3 minutes to decide I want to play this. Purchased on Steam. More content to follow. Open World RPG, this might actually distract me from Fallout 4.

Tips
* When buying check your inventory- Whenever visiting the Ripper Doc or Net runner, you might surprise yourself what you have picked up and did not notice. In the buy screen there is a selection for “Your Items” which are free to install.)
* Do all available side quests/gigs/police action/ Illegal activity icons on the map before proceeding with the main quest.
* Charged Jump or Doublejump? Double jump to tranverse wide spaces, more utility in fighting charged while moving. Charged Jump, not as good for in combat, but can jump higher. Hold jump button to charge. Need 8 Body for these.
* Transportation: Early in game use V to call your at disposal automobile, that is if you can’t find a nice motorcycle parked nearby...
* Beginner Tips: https://www.ign.com/wikis/cyberpunk-2077/Beginner's_Guide_-_Tips_for_Getting_Started#Quick.2C_Necessary.2C_How-To_Guides:
*Difficulty can be reset in game. https://gamewith.net/cyberpunk-2077/article/show/23526
* Fast Travel: https://charlieintel.com/how-to-fast-travel-around-night-city-in-cyberpunk-2077/72028/
- Select your map and look out for blue symbols that look like markers.
- Head to the marker.
- Arrive at your destination.
- Interact with it.
- Search for a new place to travel to.
- Select it, and the game will take you there.
* How to read a shard: To open the Shards menu bring up your main inventory menu by pressing Touchpad on PlayStation, I on keyboard, or View on Xbox. Once you've got the main inventory menu open, hover over the Journal tab and you'll find the Shards option show up in the drop down menu.
* How to Upgrade Gear: https://www.fanbyte.com/guides/cyberpunk-2077-upgrade-weapons-armor/
* Police and Crime Scenes: The virtual yellow tape. Don’t get too close and keep moving. The police can actually decide you are a threat and attack you.
* Food- Can regenerate Health outside of combat. In combat use healing agent like MAXDOC MK.1 (X key).
*Overloaded with loot? Break weapons and clothing down into components on the spot, no need to find a work bench.
*How to use your phone, ie Contact Regina: https://gamerant.com/cyberpunk-2077-send-info-to-regina-cyberpsycho-sighting-gig/

* Clothing and Weapons labeled “REQ” and you can’t wear or equip them? Your character level is not high enough. Same for weapons, you need a higher character level to use them.
* Blue Star on Minimap? A Police engagement.
Understanding Cyberware vs Cybernetics vs Attributes and Perks
Attributes/Perks- In Cyberpunk2077 you can develop your body‘s physical and mental abilities, by the means of Attribute Points such as Body, Reflexes, Intelligence, Tech Knowledge, etc. In addition to these attributes, speciality skills (perks) can be developed to enhance your attacks. This is fairly typical Role Playing game with skill progressions.
Cyberware- Physically replacing body parts with enhanced mechanical parts. Surgically implanted by Ripperdoc.
Human bodies in 2077 are augmented with both body part replacements that increase physical abilities, you could not otherwise possess, like a double jump or enhanced strength or a rocket launcher built into in your arms and software, a computer Operating System (CPU) that if I understand it correctly manages both Cyberware and Cybernetics/Cyberdeck. However after the Ripperdoc installs a CPU, you manage which software to install in your Cyberdeck.
Cybernetics/Cyberdeck- Software for hacking equipment and other enhanced/networked people, virtually everyone. Your ability/potential to hack are based on experience points, the CPU (Central Processing Unit- Cyberware) that you had installed by a Ripperdoc and the software you purchased from a Netrunner shop give you the specific hacking abilities. Of note your Cyberdeck, portfolio of software can be managed without the services of a Ripperdoc.
So Attributes and Perks are skill leveled through experience. Cyberware refers to mechanical augments of physical abilities while Cybernetics are associated with hacking equipment and people.
Attributes and Perks Basics
* https://rankedboost.com/cyberpunk-2077/perks/
* Understanding the relationship of Attributes to Skills, to Skill Perks: see post 48.
* Complete skill perk list this thread.
This can feel overwhelming when you first look at it. It’s complicated enough to make sense to research and decide what kind of build you want in advance. Personally, I have chosen a pistol/blade build and will post more on this later.
* Select O to pull up your character screen, then click on “Character” on the top bar. This opens the Attributes page revealing the 5 main attributes.
* Hover curser over each main attribute, the sub categories will appear. Click on an attribute to open that attribute page. At the top of the page, you select the desired sub-category.
* Now a page of associated perks appears, some are red and selectable, some are blue and are not selectable because the attribute points for the associated attribute category is not high enough.
* Attributes are 5 main areas to improve your character: Body, Reflexes, Technical Ability, Cool, and Intelligence. Through in-game experience, attribute points become available and can be assigned to one of these areas.
* Attribute Sub-Categories- Each Attribute includes sub-categories. For example, Reflexes has 3 sub-categories, Assault (shotguns, machine guns), Handguns, and Blades.
* Assigning attribute points to the main categories, does 3 things upfront, they add buffs to the attribute category, they unlock higher level perk skills associated with the sub-categories, and they represent a cap to which those perk skills can be trained to.
* Sub-categories only level by using them. Therefore if you have Reflexes with 10 Attribute points, the sub categories may have lower numbers. For example if you are not using handguns, then the handgun sub-category will not level.
* Note: Assigning attribute points to a attribute category provides buffs before any associated perk points are assigned to associated perk skills.
* Note: in addition to the attribute points gained through xp, perk points are also gained, and these perk points can be used to assign a point to any perk in any category that is already unlocked by virtue of the Attribute level.
What is Cool and Cold Blood?
Cool is an attribute that provides buffs to your character in Cyberpunk 2077. Cool determines your ability, how the character will stands up to stress, fear, pressure, physical pain, and/or torture. It determines your willingness to fight on despite wounds or your fighting ability under fire.
Cool determines your resilience, composure, and effectiveness in operating from stealth. Each level of Cool will:
• Increase Crit. Damage by 2%
• Increase all Resistances by 1%.
• Increase stealth damage by 10%.
• Reduce the speed at which enemies detect you in stealth by 0.5%
• Increase Monowire damage by 3.
COOL RELATED SKILLs
• Stealth
• Cold Blood
Cold Blood Description:
Related Attribute: Cool https://cyberpunk2077.wiki.fextralife.com/Cold+Blood
This skill can be leveled up by killing enemies with a bladed melee weapon's heavy attack (has a special kill animation, the opponents head being lopped off). The Cold Blood skill focuses on improving V's basic stats and defenses such as Armor, HP, and Stamina.
I’ve noticed when I get my katana out, I end up dashing about quickly slicing multiple enemies in the close vicinity, I need to be paying more attention to this. And I’ve seen the value of head shots, and am looking for a good hybrid, blade-pistol build. Then there are other attributes that seem desirable like hacking, so it’s complicated.
This is the best single description I’ve seen:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/778998-cyberpunk-2077/79173580?page=2
Cold Blooded as a status-buff specifically activates when you are chain-defeating enemies and have purchased the Cold Blood base perk in Cool. The whole shtick of that skill is a type of momentum-focused fighter, be it stealth or guns blazing. Gaining a potential 30% multiplicative movement stack on top of plethora other modifiers (ranging from flat resistance% to attack-speed and hacking cooldowns) is very impactful imo.
If you prefer to pick people off and play slowly, CB isn't worth investing in. But if you often find yourself defeating more than one enemy every 10/20 seconds, and are also focusing Cool, CB is massive. It really emulates the momentum you might experience after chain-headshot'ing three dudes in a club, then high-jumping to the second floor and falcon punching a man down a flight of stairs with (fiery) gorilla arms.

Weapon Types
• Power
Bullets from Power weapons have a chance to ricochet off of hard surfaces. This chance can be improved by using a Ballistic Coprocessor or wielding Kongou. The ricochet travel line can be made visible with the Kiroshi Optics mod Trajectory Generator. One is sold by Viktor Vector. Most Power weapons have a muzzle slot to fit a suppressor and a scope slot for custom sights. Perks specifically applying to Power weapons and their ricochet ability are; In Perspective, Play the Angles.
• Tech
Tech weapons can be charged to fire a bullet capable of penetrating obstacles. Apparently there's no obstacle that can stop a charged shot. The RT-46 Burya and the Malorian Arms 3516 only fire charged shots and you can't hold the shoot button to charge the shot. Tech weapons cannot be fitted with a suppressor, but most of them accept a custom sight. Perks specifically applying to Tech weapons and their charging ability are; Up to 11, Lightning Bolt, Tesla, Übercharge, Gun Whisperer, **** all Walls, Lickety Split, Superconductor.
Tech Weapons Allow you to build up a charge that penetrates light cover.
• Smart
Smart weapons aim for you by using smart rounds that lock on and seek to their targets. All that is requried is to position the gun so that its tracking box is on the enemy and then press the trigger. Smart bullets can curve around obstacles to hit their target, but travel slower than non-smart bullets. The Smart Link cyberware is required to enable smart-targeting and better quality Smart Links will improve the tracking ability of the gun, because hits are not guranteed. Additionally, members of the Tyger Claws gang use a dermal imprint that jams the smart-targeting ability, reducing their chance to hit. Smart weapons do not accept either suppressors or scopes. Perks specifically applying to Smart weapons and their target-tracking ability are; Lock and Load.
Weapon Attachments

Cyberpunk 2077: 13 Best Weapon Attachments & How To Get Them
Here are some of the better weapon attachments for those jumping back in, or finally starting, Cyberpunk 2077.

10- Jue Scope- can be bought from Robert Wilson, only after players have done the Shoot To Thrill side mission.
9- RC-7 Liger Muzzle- To get this muzzle, players can buy it from Rober Wilson in the megabuilding, but won't be in his inventory all the time.
8- E255 Percipient Scope
7- XC-10 Strix Silencer- To get this silencer, players need to build their Street Cred to 9, which is done by doing side missions, after that most vendors will have it in their inventory.
6- CS-Taipan Silencer
5- Hyakume Scope
4- E305 Prospecta Scope
3- XC-10 Electo- Players looking to get this muzzle can simply do the first NCPD scanner hustle for Rancho Coronado for the crime called Assault in Progress, or the 4th crime in Little China called Hidden Gem.
2-Mk.2X Grandstand Scope- If players already have the "Edgerunner Artisans", which allows players to craft legendary weapons, it makes the stats of the scope even better by adding to the base stats of whatever legendary weapon players have which makes fighting so much easier, especially against higher-leveled enemies. For players who don't want to spend money on this scope, it can be found at most vendors. But the other option is doing the crime in arroyo called Hidden Gem.
1- RC-7 Strigoi- The ricochet damage has come in handy when players are running and gunning and the chances of getting that damage increases by 10% per shot, so it's handy. But what makes it better is that it reduces the recoil of the weapon and for shotguns, it's really helpful because now players can hit the target more and increase the crit damage over time. Getting this muzzle is quite easy, all players need to do is beat the "Shoot to Thrill" side mission which is located in the same mega building as V's, then can be bought after that.
About the Satori Katana (SPOILER-Cheat)
Satori | Cyberpunk 2077 Wiki
Satori is an Iconic Melee Weapon in Cyberpunk 2077. Satori Iconic Melee Weapon Guide, Stats, Where to Find, & Weapon Info for Cyberpunk 2077.
If you forget about it during The Heist and insist on having it, you will have to decide to repeat all of the game since Act 2 began, or use one of the 2 methods to get back into the building after the fact. Both methods require reinforced tendons, allowing you to double jump.
One method relies on a game glitch to use your katana to scale the side of the building. I can’t say this method does not work, it just did not work for me under patch 1.1 with repeated attempts.
The second method while standing in front of the hotel is by calling your car and driving it near the front door of the hotel, so when you open the door, you exit the drivers side and glitch through the front door. This method actually makes the front door disappear. After that, you proceed up through the interior which is not that difficult, a double jump is required to scale one part of the exterior of the hotel. Retrieve the sword on the roof, then if you opt to jump off the roof into the adjoining bay, a special combo move followed by a double jump may be required to jump off the roof and make it to the water of the bay adjacent to the hotel. However if this is too difficult, you can retreat back down through the building.
The whole thing took me about 2 hours to do, that's because the first part by scaling the outside, did not work, it took me multiple attempts to place the car correctly to glitch through the front door (to a point I almost gave up), and then I died a bunch trying to jump off and reach the water. Of two links below the first video has a better overall description, but the second one leads you through the building more thoroughly.

Cyberware
* Physical Enhancements surgically installed by a Ripperdoc.
* Gorilla Arms- Are simply a strength buff, they don’t make your character look like a freak like Luther on Umbrella Academy.
* Mantis Blades when deployed do make you look like a freak. I suppose you could use both a Katana and Mantis Blades, but I would choose one.
* Projectile Launch System (cyberware- Missile Launcher in your hand)

• Pull up the quick access menu by holding Y (Xbox), Triangle (PlayStation), or Alt (PC).
• Select the grenade slot.
• Scroll through the items in this slot until the missile launcher is selected.
After following these steps, players are ready to launch missiles.
How to use the Projectile Launch System in Cyberpunk 2077
• Buy the Projectile Launch System from the Ripperdoc, arms slot.
• Also requires the Smart Link upgrade.
• Assign to quick slot gadgets. Inconvenient because it knocks out use of the Heart Pump if you also like using that to regain health during combat.
• Press quick slot button to launch.
• Hold the quick slot button to more precisely aim and launch a charged projectile. There is no indicator of charging or charged.

Cybernetics
A deck of software part of your CPU used to hack into other computers, security systems, anything that is networked, and includes hack attacks into other people’s operating systems via the network.
Cyberware associated info:
• You can hack them and they can hack you.
• The Ripperdoc is the person who gives you physical augments including upgrading your Operating System (OS).
• The NetRunner is the person who sells Quick Hacks that can be used to break into other computers and peoples’ OSs. For example, there is an Overheat Attack that causes the targets system to overheat cause long term damage.
• In the game when visiting Vick Vector the Ripperdoc, he mentions an alteration, augment, that blurs your face when seen by cameras. I’m looking for the name.

• Blue Star- Police action. Note, you can assist the police, but be aware they might start shooting at you. In one action I took down 3 bad guys, and afterwards their were 2 police left, but when they say me, they went red, and even issued a police citation. Luckly I had a recent save to fall back on.
Questing
• Quest Types: https://gamerant.com/all-cyberpunk-2077-quest-types/
• Main Quests: Story or campaign quests. Usually the largest in the game and string together the game's plot from start to finish. Players can finish the game only playing these main quests and will "still get a really good experience.”
• Side Quests: Side quests, as is the norm, are significant quests that aren't necessary within the campaign but are still important to the world.
• Street Stories- Like Cyberpunk 2077's version of The Witcher 3's monster hunts. They're designed by the CDPR Open World Team rather than the Quest System team, filling in empty spaces and making a more well-realized world.
• Minor Quests- Very short side quests. They tell quick, often very creative stories.
• Bounties- Holy Crap, I walked by a police crime scene, got to close just walking by and the police attacked me… (In-Game note) Any illegal activity such as theft of attacking civilians will result in the NCPD placing a bounty on you. The police will send a patrol to the crime scene and the strenght of their response will be proportional to the size of the bounty. To lost the police, move away from the crime scene and lay low for a while.
• Collecting Bounties from wanted people:https://www.ign.com/wikis/cyberpunk...rted_Crimes,_Bounties#How_to_Collect_a_Bounty One of the earlier things you’ll learn in Cyberpunk is that with V’s improved scanner, you can see who in Night City has a bounty on them. All you need to do to “collect” that bounty is simply subdue the enemy. That’s it. There’s no drop off, no number to call. Once the job is done the money is yours.
Vehicles
• https://www.gamesatlas.com/cyberpunk-2077/vehicles/
• A serious issue with Cyberpunk2077 is that they don't allow you to test drive a vehicle before buying it. You may get an opportunity to drive one that you come across in Night City, but this is no way to sink $55-220k into a vehicle. However there are ways around this. First of all via a Saved Game. If you don't like it, just roll back to the last pre-purchase Save. Option 2 is to use the unlimited money cheat listed in this guide so you can collect cars at will and not worry about your funds.
• However you don't have to sink a lot of money into vehicles if you don't want to. There are nice free vehicles in-game given to you. And until you own a vehicle, use the fast travel, or the free standard car at your disposal (pull up using the V key). And there are tons of motorcycles and cars sitting around Night City which you can just take. Hell, you can yank people out of their cars and take the vehicle if that appeals to you.
• Don't expect a great racing simulation out of this game. Vehicle handling is merely adequate and damage modeling is hardly there.
• Motorcycles are the absolute best handling vehicle in both the city and in the badlands and you get one of those free following the main quest at the end of The Heist.
• Free Vehicles I'm aware of shown in green.
• Mizutani Shion Coyote $115k Playing with keyboard and mouse, most cars feel very squirrelly in handling. I could just be me, but so far, I've discovered this vehicle is the best handling car I have yet to drive and according to it's description it sits at the top of horsepower available, but there are other cars that match it.
This car feels fairly stable and is not as quick to loose steering effectiveness getting into skids and maybe I'm getting better at driving. And it is comfortable in both the city and the badlands. I jump back and forth between vehicles just to re-evaluate them.
• Galena G240- in my building $13k piece of junk.
• Quartz EC-L R275- $29k, have not yet seen it, but I assume anything less than $50k is just barebones transportation.
• Thorton Colby C240T- stationwagon $29k
• Shion MZ2- $75k
• Aerondight Guinevere $220k- Ok this is just status, nothing more.
• Type -66 Avenger- $55k Mustang fastback look a like, so so handling.
• Mizutani Shion Targa- Convertible, the only convertible? But not for sale.
• Thorton Colby $49k- Little Mule. Decent desert vehicle but the Mizutani Shion Coyote is better and faster at twice the price.
• Jackie’s Arch- Motorcycle. Pretty sweet and it’s free though following the main quest. The only motorcycle you'll ever need and it handles better than any car or truck. Perfect for zipping through the busy streets of Night City.
• Apollo Scorpion- Motorcycle. At the end of Life During Wartime quest. You just ride it and it becomes yours. One of those it's got character, but I think it's ugly.
• Rayfield Caliburn $150k. Nice looking vehicle, you can buy a white one and it's fast. After the Ghost Town Quest get one for free. I'll leave it up to you to compare handling with the Coyote. https://www.shacknews.com/article/121959/where-to-find-the-rayfield-caliburn-cyberpunk-2077 Stumbled across This in a cave in a blue shipping container. It’s a $150k car for free, but not as pretty as the white one I bought. The link tells you how to get it. Of note, I just happened to come across it.
• Mackinaw Beast- A gift truck, ehh. Gloria the bartender from Afterlife gives it to you by following her quest, acting as her driver doing local street racing.
