Hi all, I’m not sure if this is the right forum since it’s about the watch and iOS combo. Since it’s an issue on the phone, however, I’m going for iOS.

To make a long story short, I can’t seem to get the live activity for cycling on my phone. I start the workout on the watch, and nothing happens on my iPhone. It only worked the first time I had an indoor cycling workout after some update, and no more ever since.

I tried an outdoor cycling workout as well, and even though the first time it showed a note that the watch would have the live activity, it didn’t actually work either.

I already checked that the fitness app on the phone allows live activitites (tried turning it off and on again), rebooted both watch and phone… no dice. I’m holding off resetting and re-pairing as it would turn a minor inconvenience into a major one, but I’m just not sure why it would stop working.
Other live activities (eg. FlightRadar24) work as expected.

Has this happened to anyone else?

iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 17.5.1, Apple Watch Series 4 running watchOS 10.5.

Thanks in advance!

Doesn’t work for me either. The dynamic island quickly shows a workout has been started with a little green man icon and then disappears, and that’s it.

However, I was never aware it ever showed up in there so I don’t know if this is to be expected or not. This is on my iPhone 15 pro max and watch ultra 2 all updated.

Interesting, in my case nothing happens at all, which is why I checked that live activities were working. I can’t recall what it did the only time it worked!
