Good idea for a thread but from yr list it would seem like less work to list tweaks which are incompatible with 4.2.1 =)

iControl - throws you in to safe mode

I asked Musclenerd if anyone is running a google spreadsheet 4.2.1 compatibility like we had for 4.0 but no response yet. Anyone know of any?

Don't try iRealSMS... my device won't restart after installing it. Guess I'll have to restore now... great.

Anyone have an idea why every time I use the remove background button in SBsettings my status bar disappears? Im assuming RBG is not updated for 4.2.1?

If I didn't list the ones that DID work, people might still be wondering if they work or not... or even if anyone had tried them yet! :)

there doesn't seem to be one. i would make one but i've never used google docs before and don't know the format the previous lists had. i think it was like yellow, green and red.

I've seen mixed reports about this, but on my 3GS SBSSettings seems to work fine except that there is a limited number of toggles that show in the "pop-up" list, namely : 3G, Airplane, AutoLock, Bluetooth, Data, Location, Wi-Fi

So no : Phone, SSH, Rotation, etc...although they are shown in the settings.

Anyone else ?

Oh yes, I did notice that too... I am on iPhone4 and have the same issue with the missing phone toggle. I am just using either the 3G toggle (since it seems to do the same thing? It turns my phone and 3G data off without touching the WiFi or BT) or Airplane mode to turn everything off instead.

I will edit my OP to reflect this! Thanks I completely forgot about it!

Sure, good to hear it's not an issue on my setup!

I'll try 3G, what I was doing was hitting Airplane then reactivating WiFi.

Another "bug" is that you can't reorder the toggles anymore, you can swap the lines but it doesn't get saved. With so few toggles working it's not really an issues I guess ;-)

So I assume SSH is always on now? Any other way to toggle it?

My toggles DO in fact reorder... I just tried and it worked. So I can't help you with that! And as for the 3G toggle... it works for me because Telus does not have Edge. If you are on a network that has Edge, if you turn off 3G it will just dump you to the Edge network won' it? It works like the phone toggle for me because there is no Edge that it will bump me to... so it just turns it off completely.

While Installous does work fine in 4.2.1, please know that I believe there is a bug with it or the AppSync 4.0 that it uses. It messes up the Game Center log in for some games and it forces you to make a new profile under "Sandbox" (developer) mode and there's no way to get out of it.

I've searched online and so far everyone is pointing towards Installous including myself. Only way to get rid of that bug is to do a restore and I'm sure none of you want to go through that again.

one thing that's getting on my nerves is the way FolderEnhancer is behaving with Gridlock.

this is probably a rare case, but when i rearrange icons within a folder, the icon arrangement on the folder icon (when closed) is very random and odd looking. not necessarily a bug, just a feature i did not want.

I expect it will be posted on iphonedownloadblog.com soon so we'll really get this going

Bad news, in Airplane mode the phone doesn't ring...which makes sense, but doesn't work well for me as I want Sipphone to ring! Guess I will have to pull the SIM card as I just got that after sending en email via Cydia : "4.2.1 and newer users: Phone toggle does not work and has been disabled. It is not a "bug" that it does not show up. Use airplane."

Actually I'm adding the full email I got as it addresses all the 4.2.1 problems with Cydia apps :

If you are having some problems with SBSettings, please read below:

-------------------------------------------------

4.2.1 and newer users: Phone toggle does not work and has been disabled. It is not a "bug" that it does not show up. Use airplane.

-------------------------------------------------

EDGE / Data Toggle:
Updated to latest sbsettings toggles and edge toggle is gone? EDGE toggle is obsolete. It hasn't worked right since 3.0. But ok if you were using it and want it anyway, install it as a separate package. It's in cydia. The 4.0 data toggle is the one you really want to use for 4.0 users. It kills edge the native way and even the 3g/E go away. If you had previously had EDGE installed and EDGE turned OFF before the update you will need to reinstall EDGE toggle and turn it on to get your data back. You can uninstall EDGE after doing this and use data toggle afterwards.

-------------------------------------------------

iOS4 issues:
- SBSettings now users activator to launch. You can configure this in settings app under activator. If SBSettings won't launch in some apps, this is an activator issue and must be fixed there. Ryan Petrich is the author of activator and can be found in Cydia under the author link of "activator" package. In the meantime, you can set activator to launch SBSettings with a hold of home button while in apps.

- I already know about "phone" toggle issues.

-------------------------------------------------

If the "more" app is crashing on load and you have backgrounder installed, go disable the option in backgrounder global settings called "Enable On Launch".

-------------------------------------------------
iPad issues:

If you have an iPad and are reporting that some of the toggles do not center over the SBSettings window, this is an issue with the toggles not SBSettings. Toggles are extra apps many written by third parties (not me). I'm sure they will be updated as the developers get time or buy iPads.

If you are having problems with the IP Address on your iPad 3g, I do not yet have one of these and this problem will have to wait for me to get one. (Same with issues with phone, data toggles etc).

-------------------------------------------------

If you are reporting that sbsettings window, when rotated on an iphone, the window gets cut off because it's too short, this was explained in the changelog and is not planned to be worked on.
If you are pointing out that when the window is rotated and launched and you rotate the device with the window out already and it does not rotate live, this was also covered in the changelog and will not be fixed.

-------------------------------------------------
If your safari bookmarks on home screen no longer load, this is not caused by libhide or sbsettings. It is caused by one of two things:

1) Push notifications toggle is installed / enabled (this is a 3rd party toggle not written by me, and its author has been contacted). For now, disable this in sbsettings more app under toggles. Note: update to v1.3 of the push toggle and this problem should be solved.

2) Other possibility is you have restrictions enabled and safari added to restrictions.

If you are contacting about something else, please respond to this message and that should get to me.

-------------------------------------------------

If both your camera AND photos icons are both hidden after every respring even though they are not hidden in poof, sbsettings, or categories.

If this is your problem, open the file /var/mobile/Library/LibHide/hidden.plist, and find the lines with "com.apple.mobileslideshow" in it, and delete it.

You can use ssh or ifile to edit this file and delete the line. It may appear more than once.
After deleting the lines, respring.

-------------------------------------------------

If one of your icons is hidden and the above steps didnt solve it, try deleting /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.springboard.plist and respring. This will unfortunately, require you to relayout your icons, but the problem should be solved. (If a bunch of other icons become unhidden, just rehide them with poof, sbsettings, or categories).

----------------------

Some people are experiencing springboard crash due to conflict with ireal sms. Others have had conflict with gruppled theme and lockinfo. If you have any of these extensions installed and are having problems, you may try uninstalling them.

----------------------

If you are having issues with springboard booting into safe mode, please respond to this mail with a syslog output from logmailer. Here is how you obtain that:

1) Install logmailer from cydia/rock
2) reboot
3) create the problem that puts you into safe mode
4) While still in safe mode run logmailer and send over the syslog.

With this we can figure out the problem whether caused by sbsettings or other.

----------------------

If you are having problems with statusbar vanishing, this is not caused by SBSettings but most likely caused by your winterboard theme.

----------------------

If you are having problems with activating sbsettings 3.0.6 or newer you can adjust how sbsettings is activated in the settings app under activator. It is default set to left and right swipe of statusbar but you can set it to home button or other things if you wish now.

----------------------

If you are worried because sbsettings activates in lockscreen even though you have that feature disabled, it is because you have lockscreen activation set in activator. Use the steps in the previous tip above to solve it in activator configuration in the settings app.

"Trying to say" ? I'm just posting a confirmation from BigBoss that the SBSsettings Toggles have issues in 4.2.1.

Ok re-read the bold and understand somewhat now... It was the exact same thing with 4.1 but an update eventually gave us back a working flight mode.
