Cydia crashing, can't find a solution...

Dear all,

Cydia keeps crashing after the "loading data" screen. The logs only show the following:

I have tried quite a few methods but none seems to work.

Here are some details:
OS version: 3.1.2
Jailbroken with Blackra1n
OpenSSH installed

What I have tried so far:

Delete the files under /var/lib/apt/lists
Done that using WinSCP. After deleting, when I launch Cydia, it comes up with the following errors before crashing again:

W:[Failed to fetch http://repo.smxy.org/cydia/apt/dists/xena/Release.gpg NetDB: Open nodename nor servname provided, or not known]

W:[Failed to fetch http://repo.smxy.org/cydia/apt/dists/xena/main/binary-iphoneos-arm/Packages NetDB: Open nodename nor servname provided, or not known]
E:[Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.]

Delete the ZodTTD repository under /private/etc/apt/sources.list.d

Did not work either.

Any help?

Well, I finally found the issue. It turns out I needed to update Cydia which I did through Rock.

this just started happening to me too, but i dont have rock installed, or ssh

is there any solution?

Yeah, it's chicken & egg

Rock does not show up in my Cydia, so I can't install it and use it to fix my Cydia, which is also stuck at the "Updating Database" point. I'm pretty much stuck here. 😡
