When I open cydia it goes through downloads and refresh of packages and takes about 1 minute before I see reloading data. Is this normal or too long?

This is on wifi connection. I'm also having an issue connecting to VPN at home so i'm thinking of redoing jailbreak but want to avoid it for now

    Thanks

Pretty much normal depending on how many sources you got installed

Yes, the more repos you add the slower it will take to check and load them all. And also your Internet connection plays a role.

u can install noCyFresh to avoid loading every time you go into Cydia, and you can do it manually whenever you want to scan for new content, in the refresh button in the Changes section.

You have to turn the option on though, in sbsettings (there will be a noCyFresh toggle). :D
