HMM, sucks I can't get anything new or delete anything. It's been like this for 2 weeks already.
Go to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ and rename the cydia.list file to cydia.list.old. You'll then be able to access Cydia again. The problem is one of your manually added sources isn't working properly. You can edit the cydia.list file in a text editor and test the sources one at a time then remove the broken source.

I must be living a blessed life. I have noticed no issues with Cydia over the last two weeks, and I'm one of those ADD types that checks for updates every hour or so!
