Cydia Updates

I just re-jailbroke 3.0 on my 3G and it says Upgrade Essential (is highlighted) and Complete Upgrade. Which one do I need to make sure my phone works properly?

They both do the same thing, really. Upgrade Essential only upgrades Cydia, Complete updates everything else that has an update. Just do the complete one.
