    http://www.dlink.com/products/resource.asp?pid=474&rid=1812&sec=0

The minimum system requirements say "Computer with:
    • Windows® XP SP2 or Windows 2000 SP4*** or Mac OS® X (v10.4/v10.3)****"

I only have one desktop (and will be using the router for when guests come over), G4 MDD Mac.

    The ****'s say:
**** The software included with this product is not Mac-compatible.

I had a Dlink 516 previously and it had software on board that configured the modem. So I'm wondering if the software is really required?

I can get this modem at Future Shop for $44 which is why I'm asking.
