I just bought a new D-Link DIR-605 (I'm in China, so I'm sure this model has a corresponding model in US / Europe... Maybe 615??) My connectivity without the modem is fine. When I connect through the router, and try to access the web setup page (192.168.0.1), I get nothing. So, I read the US manual for the 615 (the 605 manual is all chinese) and it says that I must ensure that the iMac IP subnet is also 192.168.0.1. Under TCP/IP, I have setup manually with 192.168.0.50 for IPv4 address, 255.255.255.0 for subnet and 192.168.0.1 for router and still I get nothing when I put http://192.168.0.1. I even put 192.168.0.1 into the dns server as well. Everything I try is a bust. The internet I have here is ADSL I think (it is coming in via phone line but everyone keeps calling it broadband). The connection type is PPPoE. Kinda desperate here, so really would appreciate some assistance.
