HELLO!

I want to get still images from some of my d.v.d.s, but I have some from region 1 and some from region 2. When i attempt to play them i get the 'choose a region for you driver' message and the warning that i can only change it 4 more times.
Is there any way around this?
Do I have to stick to one region or the other?

THANK YOU!

How about using an external DVD burner with flashable firmware, then you change the region codes as necessary and then re-flash the firmware to give yourself another 5 changes

The easiest thing to do to download the latest version of VLC. Go to version tracker and search for VLC.

Use VLC to play the DVD. The controls aren't as slick as Apple's DVD Player, but at least you get around the region coding restrictions.

NOTE - Just in case you weren't aware, Apple's DVD Player does not allow for screen grabs of DVD video. But VLC bypasses something in the system and you can grab whatever DVD scene you want.
