As you can see by all the iFixit tutorials and the people stuffing SSDs under their optical drives, the 21.5in iMacs have a third, functioning internal sata port. I've searched high and low to find someone who attempted to mod their case to support eSata.

My intentions are to swap my optical drive with a SSD and figure out a way to engineer a sata to eSata bracket somewhere, somehow.

Has anyone seen anyone attempt this yet?
