Dad is a mac user and I want to buy him..

    HI,
    Hoping that somebody can help please - i want to get my Dad some speech recognition software for his mac for xmas - the only one i can find is macspeech.

    Is this all that is available and if so is it good? He really needs some help as he is so slow on the keyboard its driving us crazy!

    The Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking products are held in high regard. Check out this video demo with David Pogue. Pretty freaking cool. They have a lineup of different speech products, depending on your needs.

    I know that a lot of people who teach people with various learning difficulties rate this program very highly. It would be fair to say they have more experience with these sorts of programs than the 'layperson'.
