The Met’s Trident unit is investigating the murder

Trident

Responsible for the prevention and investigation of shootings in London’s communities and all gun related murders within London’s black communities.

So, yes - this is assumed to be gang related (the gunman) - not just some regular member of the public or other criminal. There's not much non-gang related gun crime in the UK.

But that is the thing about these people..

The A holes with the guns demand respect because they have the gun and the power, where the one thing that gives respect is the ability to live a peaceful life and get on with your fellow man.

These people with guns deserve no respect whatsoever, what they truly dsereve is locking up for life or basically being abandoned on some desert island where they can all kill each other until there heart is content..... last one standing gets the respect of all the others...... oh surprise there is no one left to give you any respect.

There is a certain type of person be they Black, White or whatever, they are not interested in a civil society they are only interested in their self interest, every town has them, not just Brixton or Hackney..... we all see them, we all know who they are.....

Would be nice if we could all vote them out of town and onto said island...

Hell put it on Cable pay per view i would happily watch the idiots decimate each other.

Insanity alert. Surely they won't forget to reserve you a spot on this island.

I am not insane, I am just fed up with this type of person.

I lived in London for years and met some really unsavory people, if my wanting to live a peaceful life makes me a dead cert for the island, then I don't know what the worlds coming to...

However if you mean my willingness to watch them decimate each other, then I can assure you I am not the only one who would tune in.

I actually feel that I am probably the sanest and most down to earth individual in the world,

I believe in Stoicism, and feel the only true philosophy is that one should do only that which does not harm others, and that one should do something each day to make the world better.

I am however probably very dull and boring. :)

It's stories like this, and a recent run-in with an aggressive individual on the streets of Los Angeles that make me want to get a concealed carry permit - and a gun obviously.

It's true that guns aren't allowed in the UK. The only guns which I am aware of that we can own here is an airgun or a shotgun, you need a license for the latter. Brixton however is apparently a very rough area of London and reports of gun crime down there are not uncommon.

The Mirror is a cheesy tabloid, the shooting may well have happened but I'd take the specifics themselves with a pinch of salt.

The gunman is probably part of an organised gang - this is why the 'Trident' police unit is involved. Not a regular member of the public or 'common criminal'.

The story isn't very sensationalist. The key facts seem to agree with other accounts.

Even the majority of the police don't carry guns, they have to be complacent with their little sticks.

I actually prefer this, as there have been cases of lunatic police shooting members of the public for no apparent reason.
