Hi i'm trying to play an iso game i burned from my cd and tried getting it to work using Daemontools. However i read that it doesn't work very well.

I mounted the iso, it can be seen in the corresponding drive letter in My Computer. When i run the installer.exe from the virtual drive, it seems to start but fails and nothing happens. This happens with all iso mountables. I've read about this in other forums but no one can solve it.

Any ideas? I just wanna play :)

Just drag the iso to your desktop then use something like winrar to exact all the files. Or if you burnt iso as a image then just drag the files to your desktop.
Then install the game from your desktop. If you need the game cd in a drive to play the game, download the no-cd crack/hack for the game.

It should make no difference where you install the game from. If the game though using any drm or copy protection, you will need to use tools made to create game back ups as trying to copy the game image will most likely not work

Daemon Tools works fine in bootcamp.

Actually BUY the game, say via Steam, would help too.

Figure out what copy protection scheme the game has, e.g. Securom, ... , etc. and then tell Daemon Tools to emulate it.

If you own the game and want to play it without the CD, look for a no CD solution instead of mounting the *.iso.

Of course if you don't own the game, please go and buy it lol.
