Daisy chain Apple digital av multiport adapter?

Has anyone tried daisy chain the Apple digital av multiport adapter? Are you able to get it to work? I tried it at my side and couldn't get it to work.
macbook <-> digital av multiport adapter <-> digital av multiport adapter <-> usb-c power brick
 
The USB-C port of the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter does not provide USB data or DisplayPort Alt Mode signals. It is only for Power Delivery input. The USB-C port does not have a USB or DisplayPort icon.

If you want to connect two USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapters to the same Thunderbolt port of a Mac, then you need a Thunderbolt 4 hub.
