Daisy Chaining with Time Machine

I have an 500 GB external hooked up to my Time Machine which stores my movies. If needed could I daisy chain using firewire to another external?

Yes, Firewire is designed to be used this way.

I can't see any trouble with that at all. Even in a daisy chain each drive is identified in the system as a unique device, so TM will continue to use the device it does now with no difficulty.

Should work. That's the way FW is set up to work.
