It's raining? Now I'm ****ed off! Send some down this way, ya selfish bastard!

Wait, it's stopped. It's tipping down in QLD apparently though.

We had 9mm the other day, more than we got in all of October.

Hope things turn out next year with the programme and you feel healthy shortly.

Cheers mate, and to you too.

Got back into the proper food again, eating all the crap was making me fat and uncomfortable. I'm glad it's cool at the moment because getting out and exercising of a morning is going to get seriously uncomfortable soon when the temps start hitting 30°C+ before the sun even comes up.

I'm seriously thinking about moving back with my folks for the summer, it's much cooler up there and I can get my health back in order and it would be financially better too as living expenses would go right down. Once the summer is done I'll look into moving to Canberra or Sydney.

How goes yourself by the way?

We got around 20mm on Thursday, which was more than all of spring! They're predicting rain on Monday and Tuesday too (which is good, but bad because I was maybe going to go to the Cup) because it's been raining in Perth and the front's moving this way.

Always rains Melbourne Cup day.

20mm?!?! That's awesome! Still not enough, we need about 2000mm to make any difference.

Chundles makes a habit of picking other people apart and posting a lot of rude comments to them - I thought he deserved a taste of his own medicine.

Come off it. A faux-vendetta is hardly the way to treat someone in a time of personal disappointment and need.

Chundles, I'm sorry you didn't get into the progam. I hope the interim year before your reapplication is filled with personal growth and wonderful work experiences. It seems like your heart is in the right place, even if you feel you won't be.

Know how much I value you for your sense of humor, your smarts and your relevance. To me, you're part of what makes MR great.

People get upset and feel cheated everyday - life goes on. They don't necessarily get on a forum and bitch and complain about it...
Not sure what Chundles could say to get you so riled up, but you really should follow your own advice. I don't think your comments are really that necessary in this thread. Sour grapes if you ask me... (yes, I know you weren't asking me. :))

Thanks mate, I'm glad somebody realises I mean no ill-will towards anyone.

Damn it all to bloddy hell.

That has been running through my head for about 3 days now.

Cheer up Chundles, their loss not yours - as was said in a previous post 'When one door closes, another opens'

And this is a thread posted in Community Discussions so I think you are not out of line expressing your felings about something that means so much to you.

We have all been in a situation where something good that would make our lives more forfilled doesn't go as planned and we all have the same feeling after. Been there done that -- but my life today (job included) is something I am happy with and has turned out positive, even though I missed a couple of oppertunities along the way.

Your's will be the same if not better

you know Chundles... I've noticed that in previous threads you were rather cold and harsh toward some people - brutal honesty perhaps... either way, i think that posting completely negative threads that are virtually intended to pick fights amongst members are ridiculous

A difference in perception I guess. My perception of Chundles is one of being intelligent, witty, charismatic, and good hearted. He's on my top five list of favorite MR members. :)
