I knew I wouldn't make it much longer. I thought I could go at least a year with my imac... 😱 Oh well, does anyone know if the ram for my 20" intel core duo imac will work in the new 24" core 2 duo?

Thank you for being the first one on the entire internet to post a head-on, clear comparison shot of the 24" and 20".
 
I went to the Apple store and saw the 24" iMac. Wow it's huge. I would have to sit 4 feet away from that giant or else I would go dizzy... 😀

woooow look how HUGE that thing looks compared to the 20"! seriously, someone post one next to a 17".. will we even be able to see it? 😛
 
I compared my original Sony 17" CRT screen to the real estate on my Dell 24"
and you're looking at something like 2 1/4 X more surface area to work in.
 
Haha! Nospleen, you have no willpower!! It does look beauuutiful though, I'm impressed you held out for as long as you did! Where did you get it from? I take it a store.
 
That 24" imac looks like da bomb! Hey don't get down on yourself that you relapsed - you're not a bad person, just keep trying to be well.🙂

My wife and I took the kiddos out for some ice cream last night at the shops at LaCantera. We cruised by the Apple store and they had it out. I was like HOLY CRAP, that thing looks great. I played with it for a minute and it was noticeably snappy. I got all the way to the register to buy it and the guy goes, do you have a student ID? I said yes, he said okay, you get $100 off. Already I was thinking, damn, I cannot believe I am doing this. So I think, here is my out. I told him, I left my ID in the car, I will be right back! I walk out of the store thinking, I KICKED my habit!! Now, just get in the car and drive home.

But...... My wife was waiting with the kiddos and goes, where is the imac!! I explained that I kicked my habit and bailed. Then she gives me this sad face and says, "Ahhhhh, I really liked it, oh well....." Then I said, "I didn't know you wanted it too!" That was all that I needed to hear to run back in and plop down the debit card, lol. 😛
 
Looks big. Soon I'll replace my mini mac ppc 1.42 with one of those, or the 20", or a C2D MBP.

Does it "feel" much faster than your 20"?
 
Just keep Spleen Jr. away from that LCD. 😉

Very nice, B. I played with one in the Apple Store last week while I was getting a sleeve for my lappy and I really liked it. First Apple product that has tempted me in a long time.
