Connery, Moore, Brosnan, Dalton, Lazenby and Daniel Whatishisname.

Those are my Bonds. I will watch anything from the first three, except for may be Never Say Never Again. Which I have never seen. I didn't really care for Dalton or Lazenby. The last guy has all the charm of a common British lorry driver, IMO (no offense to real British lorry drivers). Not to mention Bond is supposed to have black hair, not blond stubble. I refuse to see any Bond movie with him in it or call him James Bond. I don't feel that I have missed anything with the current clown.

Ahh. So you're one of those people. ;)

Never Say Never Again was a good movie. The plot was close to that of Thunderball’s, but it was still a good movie.

The plot was "close" to Thunderball????? Your being sarcastic right???? It was a remake of Thunderball.........HELLOOOO

Connery and a Craig are my two favorites, bookending the whole series. I found Dalton unwatchable for the same reason Clooney couldn't be Batman. You can't play these roles while batting your eyes and being cute.

I think that Craig feeling worn down in real life is appropriate carrying over into the role, but beyond acting, I've heard his explanation for why he and the company decided to move Bond out of the gadget & humor into the modern grittier realism (they can't top Meyers' Austin powers), but I can't help feel that the gadgets and humor and camp played seriously were what made the films FUN. Without those, they're just competing alongside everyone else, making Bond just another brutal action movie. I'll enjoy Craig in the role for as many films as he does, and miss him when he's done, but I look forward to seeing them take Bond in a different direction too.
