Dark and Light Wallpapers in iOS 16

Hi all,

I'm wondering if I am missing something, but can't seem to get the dark and light wallpapers to work anymore? It also seems like they have been completely removed from iOS. A shame because I appreciated them during the night!

Any workarounds?

I loved the light/dark wallpaper. They seem to be gone though.

Not a bug...they're gone. Best "workaround" is to use the new weather or Earth backgrounds. They'll change throughout the day and get dark at night.

Questions, I can’t even select any of the existing apple wallpapers as background for my Home Screen.
How can I set them for Home Screen only and not both lock and Home Screen? :/

They exist, but only the animated circles wallpapers have this function.

You can't, unless you somehow download a version of it from the internet and save it to the camera roll and then set it as if it was a photo. There's definitely room for improvement with wallpapers in iOS 16.

So this lockscreen wallpaper I'm using in iPadOS 15, which automatically changes to Dark Mode, it won't have this affect in iOS 16? Will it still be available to me (in Dark mode) if I am using it as my lock screen when I upgrade to iOS 16?
