I was watching a movie and noticed daylight scenes were showing up much darker than they do on my iPhone 12. Even with the brightness turned all the way up, scenes using the Apple TV app appear much darker. I tried changing the playback settings to "Most compatible HD" but it didn't make a difference. Any idea how to fix this?

IMHO your Studio Display screen shot provides much more detail and doesn’t seem to be overexposed… like on the iPhone… obviously YMMV 🤓

HDR content is designed for dark room viewing exclusively. Dark looking hdr is actually the correct output. However, nobody likes it outside of home theatre videophiles so many displays have some form of Dynamic Tone Mapping to boost the brightness. Is the option there somewhere?
