Darktable opinions wanted

Googled today for lightroom alternatives, and darktable.org came up, as a download for the Mac.

Anybody try it out yet?

Haven't tried it, but there are a few alternatives to Lightroom. How do you find it lets you down and what other features are you looking for?

I have no experience with either LR or DT or ?? I just was looking for some discussion on how people here had liked the free DT. Its a relatively new Mac release.

There was a discussion regarding this on Flickr awhile back (on Darktable's Flickr group, so there may be some bias.) People generally favored Darktable.
