Das Keyboard has a kickstarter for the Das Keyboard 5Q. It looks very interesting especially as it is the first back-light Das Keyboard. but the switches are Omron the manufacture of Romer -G for Logitech. The switches look very similar as well.

What are your thoughts?

Das Keyboard is ignoring questions regarding the similarities to the Logitech keys. So it is safe to assume they are the same. I hope not as I hear the Logitech keys feel like membrane keys.

*Update

Das Keyboard has responded with:

The Romer-G and Gamma Zulu have different characteristics:
- total travel: 3mm for Romer-G, v.s. 3.5mm for Gamma Zulu
- lifetime 70M for Romer-G, 100M for Gamma Zulu
