I put the SD card from the Dash Cam into an adapter and put it into my MacBook.I don't see any way to format or delete any info that is on the card. Thanks

To format, use Disk Utility. To delete files, use Finder and drag to the trash.

You can format it using Disk Utility.

It should also show in Finder, and you should be able to delete files exactly as you do on any other storage device.

Get Info, which is what you're showing, does nothing except allow you to change permissions.

I'm probably not the only one who's unsure what you're really asking.

Are you attempting to re-use the Dash Cam SD card in the Dash Cam again after an erase and reformat? If so, you may be better off doing the erase/reformat functions in the Dash Cam itself.

If you are just trying to erase/reformat the card for use with your Mac instead, then what Monokakata suggests should work for you.

I just would like to see what is on this SD card. After inserting into my Mac book an icon pops up on the desktop.Double click does nothing. Two finger click gives me the option to open it.when i open it it now shoes in finder.double click it now shows up with two different icons none will open with any options to do anything. I also tried this on my desktop with the same results.

Can you view the contents in the camera itself? Or did the camera come with its own video players software?

If you can mount the card on your Mac:
How does your SD card appear in the Mac's Disk Utility?
You said that you want to see what is on the card, but does it look like you could erase the card in Disk Utility?

Use the mac disk utility. Open the Application Folder. Select Utilities, then Disk Utility. Report back what it shows.

I also use the disk utility to the format the cards I use in my car's (Tesla) built in web cam. Seems to work well until the Tesla craps on the files. Grrr.
