data cd's wont run

im new to mac;i'v got a powermac g-4 733mh.it will play music cd's but wont recognize data cd's. the hard drive is a sony cd-rw crx140e. eny help would be good , thanks🙁🙁

data cds have to be written for mac not windows

the cd is a different format
windows cd's are iso9660 format.

windows programs won't mount on your mac without proper software.
