Hi,

Quick question for you all: I am not sure why if I go to www.skyvector.com (a website I use because I am a pilot) and type in kbos sey parch ccc rober kjfk won't show the blue line. However, it works on firefox. Here are the pictures of the two. The first is on Safari (not working) the second is of Firefox (working). By the way, I zoomed out a lot so you could see how Firefox shows the blue line for the whole route and this happens for other things as well (www.vataware.com) So I know its not just this website.

Working.tiff

Thanks for all your help!

SkyVector + Safari Problem

jmmtennis91,

SkyVector webmaster here.

Safari doesn't support SVG according to spec. Firefox and Chrome behave correctly, but so far I haven't found any documentation on how to overlay SVG with HTML in Safari. I will promptly support Safari as soon as someone can point me to documentation on how to make SVG work.

I'm sorry I can't do more at this time, but the only way I can make Safari work without SVG would be to render the route overlays server-side. I'm afraid that my server resources are not unlimited, and my traffic levels would not permit me to take such an approach.

Feel free to correspond with me directly at skyvector@gmail.com.

Have fun up there!
