Data only SIM in iPhone 6 for tethering?

Hi all, silly question time!

I'm on holiday at the mo and the wifi is poor in our apartment (I like to catch up on the day's events last thing at night).

I noticed some shops in town selling 7GB data SIMs, so I'm wondering if I grab one, can I put it in my iPhone 6 and turn on the hotspot to tether my iPad?

No reason why not, I have used data sims in a phone previously without any problems.
