Data Plan usage

With the data plan that att attaches to the iphone purchase can I use this plan with a usb wireless device on my macbook? Or do I need another plan?

You mean tethering? No, not unless you're jailbroken. And even then you're not supposed to. AT&T will be coming out with a tethering plan for 30.00 $ "soon" they say

But I hear 1.50 doesn't make your phone heat up as badly, I've never used previous versions so I wouldn't know.
