Data Speeds: AT&T and Verizon

Hey guys. I'm thinking about getting an external 3G data card and wanted to know if there was any place where I could compare speeds and service between both AT&T and Verizon? Thanks!

If anyone has any experience with either in the NJ/NYC area, your insight would be greatly appreciated.
 
I think this largely depends on YOUR location... My buddy's pad in NYC, Verizon service is crap AT&T is full bars, my other friend's place AT&T is crap Verizon is good. If you're planning ot use it at say the office or home, you probably want to make sure whichever provider you use has a good signal....
