Yet in 2015 as my latest backup to iCloud was made the observed property of iCloud was it changes status of data on device upon backing it up to iCloud. One example, prior to backup Calender app with all calendars and created events in calendar being local, after backup to iCloud calendar and events were not local but hosted in iCloud.

Does this property still exist as for iOS 12.x?
Real backup solution must not change status of data being backed up.

iPhone here will go to Apple for battery replacement, so I consider backing up data to iCloud. Actually I believe for battery replacement backup should not be necessary. It is to be made just for the case something goes wrong during replacement.
