    Hey guys,

I finally purchased the mac pro, should be here next week, got a real good deal so I'm happy.

I do have one issue though, I was using windows 7 and have two 1.5th hhds and one is blank and the other has around 800gb used or so. My question is can I put them into the mac pro Or do I need to format them etc.

No need to format them, Mac OS X can read NTFS formatted volumes and can read and write FAT32 formatted volumes natively.

    Thanks for the reply.

If it is read only should I

    1. Format the empty drive
    2. Transfer from the other drive
    3. Format second drive so both are same system type?

    Thanks, RTJ

If you solely use the data with Mac OS X from now on, just format the empty drive with HFS+, copy the 800GB of data to it and then format the other drive to either HFS+ or whatever you like.
