data usage abroad: checking mb used

I'm leaving to go abroad tomorrow and purchased the extra data roaming from AT&T. I know you can check your current data usage on the network setting page. I don't have wifi near me to test it out right now, but if I use wifi will this be included in the usage number on the iPhone? I want to keep these two figures separate so I don't go over the 50mb plan I added. Anyone know if the iPhone just tracks 3g or is it combined wifi/3g. Thanks.

I believe usage only tracks 3G and EDGE, not wifi.
